Novtel Training

Traditional class room and on-site training methods are initially necessary when Novtel is first introduced to new users of the system. The down side of this classroom information overflow methods of training to new prospective users of the Novtel system are the following:



  • It is expensive and counterproductive for our clients to send staff on training courses for days.

  • For Novtel to send a specialist on-site, traveling time, accommodation and transportation is a costly exercise and needs to be reduced without affecting the level of training and support to our clients.

  • Staff members have seen the Novtel system working but lack the practical day to day on the job experience of the system after class room training is completed.

  • 90% of what is learned in the classroom applies to case studies in manuals and does not refer directly to the actual business where the Novtel system is about to be implemented.

  • Novtel is a complete, flexible and comprehensive business solution that covers all operational and financial functions in the establishment where it is implemented. For this reason specialised training is needed for specific staff members. Depending on the level of training provided, Novtel charges anything from R400.00 to R950.00 per hour for on-site training and support by one of our product specialists.

    Novtel have over the years developed an affordable and extremely effective training, support and maintenance system utilising the latest information technology remote support systems available.

    If an employee of one of our customers is having a difficult time with a given element of the newly installed Novtel system upgrade, the Novtel product specialist has the ability to instantly take remote control of their system and allow the employee to watch the correct process and procedures solving the problem right on their own screen while the problem is being experienced. The training session is recorded and can be downloaded and saved for future reference by the employee. It is with this kind of visual and immediate on-demand assistance that training times are reduced and long term memories are instilled with the staff members of our clients.


    Very Important Notes:

  • Novtel's cover includes telephonic support but excludes telephonic training and maintenance.

  • If the problem is caused by a defect in the Novtel system there will be no charge for the session.

  • A minimum charge of R95.00 applies if a given session is under 15 minutes or less this arrangement applies to the pay as you go option only.

  • With the Novtel pre-paid support system the time spent online is deducted from the pre-paid credit on a minute to minute basis. No minimum connection time and/or charges apply.

  • If no pre-paid time balance is on the customer's account at the time training or support is provided the Pay as you go option is the default billing option for on-line training and support.

  • If the trainee has a microphone and speakers connected to his PC, the voice interaction during the on-line session is free. VoIP is channeled via the internet no Telkom or Cell phone charges will apply.

  • Trainees who do not have a microphone and speakers connected to their PC must phone Novtel at Tel: 0861-66-88-35 for all the voice interaction during the training , support and maintenance sessions.
