We use Novtel Relations Management (RM) extremely effectively in our property management company.
All correspondence like e-mails, letters, phone calls, onsite visits and SMS messages of tenants and landlords are recorded in Novtel RM.
All correspondence is linked to the applicable staff member who managed the interaction between tenant and landlord at the time.
A complete history is built up of all correspondence with our tenants and landlords and the staff member who managed the interaction.
Internally Novtel RM manages the relationship between managers and staff members. Complete instructions are issued to a specific staff member by managers. The system organizes and keeps record of the work which is to be done by each staff member.
The auto reminder system built into Novtel RM helps us to ensure all queries and problems are dealt with in a strict set timeframe.

SOHCO is a non-profit Social Housing company. We are the owner of properties in East-London, Durban (Head Office) and Cape Town.
SOHCO is the landlord of 2500 apartments ranging from 1 bedroom to 4 bedroom units. To manage the volumes was a real challenge until we implemented Novtel.
We have centralised all our activities with Microsoft Terminal Server 2003 at our Head office in Durban.

All interactions with tenants and service providers are recorded on Novtel relations management by our staff members as it happens.
With Novtel Relations Management the right hand of SOHCO knows what the left hand is doing and the program is extremely so easy use.
Our properties are all managed at branch level; each branch has its own property profile set up in Novtel Property Management software all links back to one single company in Pastel Partner at our head office.
Novtel Relations management also links back to the same Pastel Partner database in SOHCO we maintain only one tenant and service provider's database for all our activities.

It is important to note that Novtel can run 100% independent and does not require the direct accounting interface.

Power surges, power dips and power failures can damage computer equipment and corrupt databases,
if computer equipment is switch off without proper shutdown procedures. Steps must therefore be taken to protect valuable computer hardware and
databases by providing constant and regulated power supply as follows:
On each computer and network switch an UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) must be installed.
For remote areas where power supply is often interrupted we recommend that a generator 5.5kw
with Voltage regulator be installed to supply power to all the UPS points in the network system when power failures occur.
